After a lengthy hiatus, the eagerly anticipated return of Super Extra Bonus Party has arrived!

Breaking boundaries, the Newbridge natives burst onto Irelands independent music scene with a kaleidoscopic sound of their own. Their self-titled debut album took home the prestigious Choice Music Prize accolade in 2007. Comprehensive tours followed as did sophomore record Night Horses and now, the ground breaking six-piece band are back with all new material released on Kildare based label 045 Recordings, they are set to play a homecoming show joined by some very special guests…

The all Irish line up presented in association with June Fest Newbridge, brings not just one but two award winning acts to the stage Upstairs at JRB’s.

The 2017 RTE Choice Music Prize was awarded to Dublin based band SHIPS for the critically acclaimed Precession. The album of the year- brought to production aided by a Crowdfunding campaign, Sorca McGrath & Simon Cullen self -released the record in May 2017. The duo fuse guitars with synthesized landscapes, hailed as intelligent music from perspective practitioners. Atmospheric electronica from PHARE & emerging Newbridge band THE COMSTOCKS complete the bill. An exciting line up of original and independent Irish music.

Rudies SKA Club: The Hacklers / The Skatuesques

Date: Friday 25th May 2018

Doors: 20:30

Rudies Ska Club has arrived and for it’s first event brings two of Irelands finest Ska bands together for a night of pure skankin’.

Kildare based band THE HACKLERS have developed their own distinguished sound, a mix of ska and reggae blended with their own unique ‘extra stout’ Irish flavour.

Their first full album Between The Lines was released on Contra Records in 2015 to much appraise. Having taken their sound to stages and major festivals across Europe, sharing the stage with Bad Manners, The Beat and the Selector to name just a few, The Hacklers are firmly flying the flag for original Irish Ska.

Dublin based all female quintet THE SKATUESQUES are set to perform their energetic, upbeat set of Ska Classics and original material. Since wowing crowds at Electric Picnic, The Olympia Theatre, and London’s world famous Dublin Castle in Camden, the band are set to launch their debut E.P this June.
